Presented by David Stanley, 2023-24 Head Agent.
I will take a few minutes to review the spectacular results that Parker Beverage and his team achieved for the 22-23 Dartmouth College Fund Campaign. The campaign was dedicated in memory of Peter Fahey, and it concluded in a heartwarming emotional presentation of our donation class check to the Fahey Family and the College at our 55th Reunion.
First, our final dollar amount raised was $867,664, slightly short of our $1million goal. Still an awesome amount raised for scholarships for deserving students.
Second, our participation percentage was 54% with 342 donors, which beat our goals of 50% and 317 donors. We were 25 donors above our goal. There were 84 classes that listed donor number and percentage goals and of those only 10 classes exceeded the donor goals - all were in the single digits, except for 2 other classes with +15 and +17 donors. The all-Dartmouth College participation percentage was 33.6% - 20% below what we achieved.
Third, our 34 classmate solicitors had 334 prospects and delivered 306 gifts, a 92% success rate. Thirteen of our classmate solicitors were 100% with their prospects and an additional 15 were only 1 short of achieving 100%. All of our 34 solicitors made a gift.
So, to Parker Beverage and the Class of 1968 DCF Leadership team CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done!
I need to add that during Parker's tenure as Class Head Agent, the Class of 1968, exceeded its dollar goal in 5 of his 5 years and exceeded the class participation percentage in 4 of his 5 years. An outstanding achievement and a very high bar for me to meet or exceed. Thank you, Parker.
Parker assembled a fantastic leadership team, and I am happy to report that the entire team is returning for the next campaign. The members of the team are Parker Beverage, Peter Wonson, Bob Ross, Bill Martens, Joe Nathan Wright, Roger Witten, John Blair, Mark Waterhouse, David Walden and me. We have the added support from the College from Sarah Baptie, Managing Director of DCF and Patrick Crim.
The team had a spirited Zoom call earlier this week in which we discussed and agreed on the goals for 23-24 Campaign. Once again, our participation goal is 50% and our dollar goal is $350,000.00. Please help us achieve these goals.
