Our Class of 1968 50th Reunion was celebrated Friday, June 8, through Sunday, June 10. The early bird option on Thursday, June 7 included hiking Mt. Moosilauke, dinner at the new Moosilauke lodge and a stay-over. Finally, there was the can't-let-go option for Monday, June 11. Over the course of the long weekend more than 400 classmates and guests enjoyed numerous class-sponsored events and perfect early summer Hanover weather.

Reunion Activities
Reunion Schedule
Look at everything we did: 50th Reunion schedule! And here's a list of everyone who attended.
Special Interest Presentations
Without doubt, the special interest presentations led by our classmates Bill Zarchy, Peter Wonson, Rich duMoulin, Warren Cooke, Gerry Bell and Noel Augustin were collectively the most attended sessions of the Reunion. While we attempted to make video recordings of all the sessions, our efforts met with varying success. Nonetheless, you can see videos of most of the sessions, see the presenters' PowerPoint slides and other supplemental material like Warren Cooke's magnificent bird photos.
During Viet Nam - Discussion Session
Mark (Skip) Waterhouse moderated a very well attended and interesting discussion of our Viet Nam experience (whether we went or not). It certainly was one of the highlights of the reunion. The session was recorded on video - see the video on the Class YouTube Channel. Given the high level of interest in further discussion, Mark, as our new class newsletter editor, plans to include a major section of the newsletter devoted to discussing Viet Nam. In the meantime, Read Mark's preview and his entertaining and photo-filled "Viet Nam Journal - A Return After 47 Years."
50th Reunion Virtual Art Show
As part of our 50th Reunion we presented a Virtual Art Show. Our goal was to invite digital submissions of photographs, art, sculpture, architecture and other forms of art, from our classmates and their guests. The virtual gallery was presented on a large screen the Reunion headquarters common room. The presentation included profiles of each of the artists who submitted material. The submissions from both professionals and hobbyists included some truly memorable images. Enjoy the show!
Classmate Journals and Dartmouth Stories
Several classmates shared personal stories in anticipation of our 50th Reunion. In addition, Bill Rich prepared a number of stories about Dartmouth alumni and their adventures or Dartmouth-related stories. Read the journals and stories.
Reunion Wines and Wine Tasting
The wine tasting sessions presented by Bob Block and Jim Lawrie on Friday and Saturday afternoons were a highly popular feature of the Reunion. Enhance your wine tasting skills or order any of the wines featured at the Reunion.
Who Are you?
Class of 1968 Personal Statement:
"Who Are You?"
As part of the preparation for Reunion, we asked classmates to complete an online survey titled “Who Are You.” The survey is located on a single-purpose website (D68WhoAreYou.org) that allowed classmates and their guests to express their views on a variety of topics on the occasion of our 50th reunion. After the questionnaire completion deadline passed, it became possible to view all classmates'/guests' responses both in aggregate and by individual.
Given a high level of interest among those who hadn't been able to participate before the reunion, we offered a second opportunity to complete the survey. The deadline for completion: July 31, 2018. As of August 15, 2018, you will again be able to view the results, both in aggregate and by individual.
If you want to view all of the essays electronically as a PDF, our classmate Dave Dibelius has compiled all the essays in a single 68 page (true) document. If you want a more permanent, bound version, of either the entire survey or just the essays (including the essays submitted in the post reunion period), those publications may or may not still be available (6/25/2023). Learn more about the cost but don't order without contacting the webmaster (Jim Lawrie) first.
