Recently, our classmate and mini reunion chairman, Norman Silverman visited Ireland. Here's what he found:
Frederick Douglas gave invited talk at Cork’s antislavery Society in 1845. The speech was given at the Imperial Hotel in Cork, Ireland and the hotel has an area just for guests cum lounge/library/coffee service/fireplace dedicated to him. Deborah and I are presently staying at the Imperial for part of her 75th birthday tour of the old sod.
